Muscles play a vital role in our everyday lives, without them we wouldn’t be able to function. In our Kinesiology course, you will discover how muscles function as movers, antagonists, and stabilizers in the human body and the fundamentals of concentric, eccentric, and isometric muscle contractions. This course also explores the bones, landmarks, and joints of the body, and presents a thorough explanation of muscle function. It provides clinical applications related to key kinesiology concepts and clearly explains terminology needed for working in any rehabilitative practice field.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Recognize the basic fundamentals of structure and motion
  • Recall how muscles functions as movers, antagonists and stabilizers in the human body
  • Recognize the concentric, eccentric and isometric muscle contractions found in the human body
  • Name the clinical applications related to key kinesiology concepts
  • List the terminology needed to work in the rehabilitation field
